Ryan Dooley
Ryan B Dooley (he/him) is a gay cis male associate who specializes in working with queer folx through relational trauma, attachment wounds, and identity journeys. He grew up in the Bay Area and has chosen therapy as his calling after many years as an educator. Queer LifeSpace's mission of affordable care for all resonates deeply.
His training has centered anti-shame frameworks, from striving for liberation of marginalized communities to the acceptance of all our internal parts - even the wily ones. He believes that mind and body are one, so he integrates somatic techniques into all his sessions. He draws from models of therapy that place people at the center of treatment.
Ryan has clinical experience with a wide range of folx, from adolescents in high school to adults exploring identities and careers, as well as to relationships negotiating boundaries and rebuilding intimacy. He actively fights the stigmas surrounding sex, kink, substances, pleasure, and the body. He is a fellow traveler, an empathic listener, and an amateur musician.
