Moena Weiss (she/her)

Moena Joy-Dada Weiss (b. 1995, Germany) holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy from the International Psychoanalytic University Berlin. As both a psychologist and photographer, she blends mental health care with visual activism, using portraiture to promote visibility and well-being for queer individuals.

Moena believes in an artistic approach to mental well-being and envisions it through a Portraitanalysis as part of a holistic journey toward self-discovery, with a focus on aligning self-image with both inner and outer perspectives on identity and gender.

With homes in Cape Town, San Francisco and Berlin, Moena is committed to creating safe spaces for queer-identified individuals to explore their identities and enhance their mental health. She aims to establish a global network connecting Germany, South Africa and California, fostering cross-cultural collaboration and healing through her work, which bridges art, activism, and psychotherapy.
