Pinterest Invites Queer LifeSpace to “Raise for Good”
Queer LifeSpace recently had the privilege of participating in the Pinterest Impact Lab, a program designed to uplift nonprofits dedicated to social justice, mental health, and community well-being.
The experience and support was transformative for our team and will certainly help our small nonprofit grow.
The Pinterest Impact Lab is not just about financial support—it's about creating a community of nonprofit leaders who can collaborate, share knowledge, and grow together. Leaders from diverse organizations, such as Christopher LeMark of Coffee, Hip Hop, and Mental Health, and Neely Snyder of Dream of Wild Health, highlighted the importance of these connections. Their reflections on the power of community resonate deeply with us at Queer LifeSpace, where we are committed to providing accessible mental health services to the LGBTQIA+ community.
The program emphasized the need to balance the daily grind of nonprofit work with personal and organizational growth. This message hit home for us, reminding us that our strength lies not only in what we do but in how we support each other as a team.
One of the most powerful aspects of the Pinterest Impact Lab is its innovative approach to philanthropy. Pinterest isn’t just donating money—they’re investing in the future of the organizations and the people behind them. This aligns perfectly with our values at Queer LifeSpace, where we believe in the power of community and the importance of mental health.
Our involvement in the Pinterest Impact Lab has left a lasting impression. The connections we made, the lessons we learned, and the inspiration we gained will continue to guide our work as we strive to build a more inclusive and supportive Bay community and beyond.
