Alli Yates
Alli Yates (they/them) is an MFT trainee and recent graduate from the Somatic Psychotherapy program at the California Institute of Integral Studies. They are grateful and excited to be a part of the Queer Life Space team and are supervised by Nancy Heilner.
Alli comes into this work with a background in grassroots organizing and community arts. They have a passion for exploring the ways systems of power and intergenerational legacies shape our lives. Alli has pursued advanced studies in working with complex/developmental trauma and are interested in understanding how early environments and experiences contribute to the formation of the self.
Alli approaches somatic therapy with the belief that all ways of being in a body are worthy of celebration and care. They love working with queer and trans people, disabled, chronically ill and neurodivergent people, and trauma survivors. Alli is particularly interested in themes relating to relationships, attachment, grief and belonging.
