Alex Lindsay (they/them)

Alex Lindsay (they/them) has experience working with individuals navigating anxiety, complex trauma, relationship challenges, and identity exploration, with a particular focus on the LGBTQ+ community. Their approach is client-centered, trauma-informed, and collaborative, incorporating modalities such as CBT, DBT, and somatic therapy to meet the unique needs and goals of each client. Their practice is rooted in intersectionality and queer feminist theory, recognizing that healing looks different for everyone and is deeply connected to personal identity and life experiences.

A key aspect of Alex’s approach is recognizing the impact of systemic factors—such as power, privilege, and oppression—on mental health. They work to remain attuned to how structural inequities can shape an individual’s sense of self, access to resources, and emotional well-being. Through this sociocultural lens, Alex seeks to create a space where clients can process these influences, empowering them to reclaim agency in their healing journey. This understanding also fuels Alex’s broader advocacy work in mental health, as they are committed to promoting social justice and equitable access to care, particularly for queer and trans youth.

Outside of work, Alex enjoys hiking, reading queer literature, roller skating, and spending time with their two cats.
