San Francisco, CA – Get ready for a night of ghoulish glam and fabulous frights at One Market Restaurant's SIZZLE: Drag Dinner Extravaganza, on Friday, October 4th, in partnership with Queer LifeSpace (QLS). This Halloween-themed special edition of One Market’s SIZZLE series will not only deliver an exhilarating drag show but also support a vital cause—affordable mental health care for San Francisco’s LGBTQIA+ community.

With a longstanding commitment to blending exceptional dining with community outreach, One Market’s latest event, SIZZLE, continues this tradition. On October 4th, guests will savor a delectable 4-course meal prepared by the esteemed Chef Mark Dommen. Highlights of the menu include a Grilled Prosciutto-Wrapped Fig Salad with baby wild arugula, saba, and Pt. Reyes blue cheese, as well as Grilled Filet Mignon served with jalapeño grits, broccoli rabe, hen of the woods, and thyme jus. Meanwhile, Bobby Friday and her fabulous queens will take the stage for an electrifying drag performance that promises high-energy fun.

This special charity event aims to raise funds for Queer LifeSpace, a nonprofit dedicated to providing affordable, queer-affirming mental health and substance abuse services to the LGBTQIA+ community. As part of Queer LifeSpace’s major fall fundraising blitz, the dinner is a signature event to ensure continued access to life-saving therapy for those in need.

Founded in 2011 by a group of licensed therapists, Queer LifeSpace offers long-term, evidence-based mental health care on a sliding-scale basis, with sessions starting as low as $30. Their inclusive approach guarantees support for individuals from all backgrounds, regardless of their ability to pay.

“Every day, the LGBTQIA+ community battles mental health challenges that society often overlooks. We cannot wait any longer—affordable, accessible therapy is a lifeline that must be within everyone's reach now.,” said Ryan MacCarrigan, Executive Director at Queer LifeSpace. “Thank you to One Market Restaurant and Bobby Friday for partnering with us. Your support is not only appreciated but essential in our fight to provide life-saving mental health services.”

With a menu full of tricks and treats and queens serving hauntingly fierce performances, this unforgettable evening is the perfect way to celebrate the spooky season while supporting mental health care for LGBTQIA+ individuals. Reservations are available on OpenTable, with the Dinner and Show experience priced at $98 per person (excluding beverages, taxes, and gratuity). Don’t forget to bring cash for tipping the queens!

ABOUT ONE MARKET RESTAURANT

Named a “Top 10 American Restaurant in the US” by Gayot Guide, One Market Restaurant has set the standard for sophisticated dining in San Francisco since 1993. The restaurant honors the traditions of its celebrated founding through the award-winning work of Chef Mark Dommen, a culinary talent who encapsulates farm-to-table cuisine. In 2020, Chef Dommen and Principal, Michael Dellar added to the mix by creating a New York-style delicatessen concept, Mark ‘n Mike’s. The unique addition to OMR transforms deli fare to its tastiest potential. There’s a whole lot to like at the foot of San Francisco’s Market Street. One Market’s soaring windows showcase vibrant views of San Francisco's treasured Ferry Building, Embarcadero, and Bay Bridge while the stunning exhibition kitchen’s "Chef's Table" offers a front-row seat dining experience to guests. A wood-fired grill, multiple private dining rooms, an outdoor patio, and a vibrant bar further enhance the ambiance that One Market is known for. With the inclusion of OMR’s top-notch service, the restaurant has mastered the recipe for exceptional hospitality for 30 years.
